King Smith Hired as Western Manager of Technical Service Programs at Select Sires

PLAIN CITY, Ohio, April 20, 2010 — King Smith has been hired to serve as the western manager of technical service programs at Select Sires. In this role, his primary responsibility is to elevate the reproductive expertise of Select Sires personnel in the western states from Texas to California.

As a member of the Select Reproductive Solutions™ (SRS™) team, Smith will create, develop and implement value-added reproductive and farm management training programs for customers, member personnel, and Select Sires staff. Additionally, he will conduct training workshops and seminars that will enhance the skills and abilities of the employees in reproductive and herd management practices.

"Smith brings a vast knowledge of the A.I. industry with him to Select Sires," said Ray Nebel, vice president of technical service programs. "He is well respected by those who have worked with him and will be a great asset to Select Sires in this role."

Smith earned a bachelor's degree in agricultural economics from Texas A&M University and began his career in the A.I. industry 24 years ago. Smith resides in Stephenville, Texas, with his wife, Sylvia, and daughter, Jamie.
