Smith Named School-Year Communications Intern at Select Sires Inc.

PLAIN CITY, Ohio, December 18, 2009 — Whittney Smith, of Lucasville, Ohio, has been selected as the 2009 corporate communications intern for Select Sires Inc. Her job responsibilities at Select Sires will include writing press releases and customer testimonials, helping coordinate logistics for trade show booth materials and assisting with desktop publishing projects.

Smith is a senior at The Ohio State University where she is pursuing a bachelor's degree in agricultural communications and animal science. She grew up on a small farm in Pike County where she was very active in 4-H activities. At Ohio State, Smith is a member of the Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow club, Scarlet and Grey Ag Day committee and has studied abroad in Ghana. She plans to pursue a master's degree in agricultural communications after graduating in June 2010.
