Shircliff Joins Beef Department as School-Year Intern

PLAIN CITY, Ohio, December 18, 2009 — Kathleen Shircliff has been named one of the Beef Sire department school-year interns at Select Sires Inc. Shircliff is a junior at The Ohio State University where she is seeking a bachelor's degree in animal sciences with a minor in life sciences.

Shircliff is a native of Randolph, Ohio where she grew up showing beef cattle through Portage County 4-H. On campus, she is a member of the Saddle and Sirloin club and works in the Meat Science Lab. She has also spent time studying abroad in Iceland and plans on traveling again this winter to study in Australia.

Shircliff will be assisting the beef marketing team with advertisements of beef bulls through the development of flyers, directories and the website. She will also be responsible for compiling and organizing data for projects like the 2010 Beef Sire Directory.
