The Holstein Association classifier inspected bulls at Select Sires in May and named 19 new Excellents. Among them were four May graduates reaching over 90 points. 7HO5211 BLACKBART, a Highlight son, was raised to EX-92 while the new headliner, 7HO6250 EMERSON, received 91 points in his first visit with the classifier. 7HO5253 CALEB and 7HO5155 NOME-RED, both new to Select’s lineup, moved to EX-90.

Other active sires elevated to "Excellence" include 7HO4956 CONTENDER, 7HO4152 PRESCOTT and 7HO4351 BARLO. Among the Select sires on deck for potential release, the classifier tapped 11 for Excellent, featured by two at EX-93.

Select Sires is a family of ten farmer-owned and controlled cooperatives, serving the largest number of co-op members in the U.S. This level of Excellence in bulls, products, service and programs helps the federation achieve its basic objective: to supply livestock breeders with America’s best genetics at reasonable prices.
