World Wide Sires
Your Foundation ... Your Future

Editor's Notes:
On September 30, 1999 at World Dairy Expo in Madison, WI World-Wide Sires held a news conference confirming its current and future international marketing partnership with Select Sires, Accelerated Genetics and Sire Power. Collectively, these four organizations maintain a genetic stronghold in international markets.

The World-Wide Sires' story began 28 years ago in Hanford, California with Bill Clark's vision to bring top quality U.S. genetics to dairymen around the globe. Clark's involvement with the family farm, Cal-Clark Dairy, and his international travel experience provided the foundation for his idea to sell high quality U.S. semen to dairy farmers worldwide. The result of World-Wide Sires, the largest exporter of U.S. genetics.

World-Wide Sires and the U.S. A.I. Cooperatives (Accelerated Genetics, Select Sires and Sire Power) boast a 28 year partnership that continues to grow and diversify. Today, this powerful force in the A.I. industry takes pride in its strong Foundation and looks forward to a bright Future. This partnership is committed to the success of dairy farmers around the world.

The re-signing of the contract between World-Wide Sires and these three leading U.S. A.I. Cooperatives signifies a long term commitment with a promising future. This team will provide a new approach to servicing the interntional market, which will include but not be limited to such things as making a large investment and effort in pre collecting semen on high parent average young sires to be able to deliver more product from quality bulls at the time of their release.

This progressive partnership is proud of their proven track record. Here are the facts:
  • Since WWS began in 1971, over 35 million units of semen have been shipped to some 70 countries around the globe.

  • This partnership offers the largest progeny testing program in North America sampling 500 bulls annually. Of these bulls, over 100 are co-sampled in foreign countries.

  • WWS offers 50% of the U.S. genetics available which makes them the largest source of U.S. genetics.

  • Each of the cooperatives have done business in the U.S. for over 50 years. Together, they have 83,000 members nationwide.

  • Some of the cooperative partners have significantly increased their young sire harvest rate with the use of Genetic Marker technology.

  • Excellent distribution offering the best trained and largest distribution system in the world.

  • WWS is taking an active leadership role in understanding global genetic indexes with Dr. Kent Weigel on staff doing major research in this area and working with Interbull.

  • Value added services: World-Wide Mating Service (WMS), technical speakers, training courses and U.S. dairy farm tours.

  • WWS has access to tremendous data through Agritech Analytics (ATA), the second largest dairy records processing center in the U.S., to help further understand what progressive dairymen around the world want and need to manage their farms and continue their development progress.

  • Partnership with Universal Marketing Service (UMS) to diversify the product line by offering many quality animal care products including UDDERgold, the best teat dip on the market today.
World-Wide Sire's goal is to be the professional dairyman's partner by providing outstanding products, the best service and cutting-edge technology.
