Enhancer Son Enters A.I.


PLAIN CITY, Ohio, Nov. 2, 2000 - 9GU155 Knapps Enhancer JOCK-ET, a young Guernsey sire bred by Randy Knapp, Epworth, Iowa, has been chosen to enter Select Sires' Program for Genetic Advancement (PGA) sire sampling system. Based on his outstanding pedigree, Jock has been selected as one of seven Guernsey bulls from throughout the United States to enter the program in 2000. In addition to being sampled through PGA Cooperator herds, this young sire has been identified as a Super Sampler. With this designation, his semen is available to all interested Guernsey breeders.

Jock's sire, Sherma Victory Ellas Enhancer, has a type proof of +2.4 PTA Type and a competitive production proof of +1,307 PTA Milk. Jock's dam, Knapps Gladys Joann-Twin (EX-92), has a class-leading milk record in 365 days of 36,390 pounds of milk, 1,973 pounds of fat and 1,205 pounds of protein. In addition to this superior record, Joann is an extremely wide, strong cow with a snug fore udder, high and wide rear udder attachments, and correct teat placement.
