Early Declo Son Enters A.I.


PLAIN CITY, Ohio, Dec. 15, 2000 - 7JE593 Mason Declo JARED-ET, a young Jersey sire bred by David James Mason, Buhl, Idaho, has been chosen to enter Select Sires' Program for Genetic Advancement (PGA) sire-sampling system. Based on his outstanding pedigree, Jared is one of 33 Jersey bulls from throughout the United States to enter the program in 2000. In addition to being sampled through PGA Cooperator herds, this young sire has been identified as a Super Sampler. With this designation, his semen is available to all interested Jersey breeders.

An early 7JE386 Barbs MBSB Declo son, Jared is out of Mason Malcolm Jenetta (EX-93). Her production record at 3 years and 10 months of age is 22,270 pounds of milk, 837 pounds of fat and 831 pounds of protein. One of Jared's full sisters, Mason Declo June (EX-92), is No. 14 on the Top 200 Production Type Index (PTI). June's production record at 2 years, 3 months of age is 24,150 pounds of milk, 1,025 pounds of fat and 959 pounds of protein. Another full sister sold in the 1999 All-American Jersey Sale as a heifer for $6,600.
