Lood Joins Select Sires
International Team

PLAIN CITY, Ohio, July 11, 2001 — Select Sires Inc. has announced the hiring of Christina Lood as its international marketing coordinator. In this role she will manage the cooperative’s marketing communications in Canada and Latin America. Her responsibilities include helping implement market-development strategies, assisting with Web site enhancements, developing news releases and advertisements, and organizing promotional exhibits that support Select’s industry-leading image in these specific regions. She will relocate to Select Sires’ headquarters in Plain City, Ohio.

Most recently, Lood had coordinated advertising and other communications initiatives for an artificial-insemination company in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Four years before that, she graduated from the University of Minnesota, St. Paul, Minn., after earning a bachelor’s degree in technical communication and animal science. While in college, she successfully completed internships in the dairy foods marketing division for Land O’Lakes Inc., Arden Hills, Minn., as well as in the communications group of Select Sires.

Lood grew up working on her family’s registered Holstein farm in Cambridge, Minn.

Based in Plain City, Ohio, Select Sires Inc., is a federation of 10 farmer-owned and controlled cooperatives. It provides highly fertile semen as well as excellence in service and programs to achieve its basic objective of supplying livestock breeders with America’s best genetics at a reasonable price.
