COBA/Select Sires Sales Representatives Receive National Awards
PLAIN CITY, Ohio, Nov. 1, 2001 — Twelve A.I. sales representatives
employed by COBA/Select Sires Inc., Columbus, Ohio, have been named members
of the Select Sires President’s Club. This national award annually
recognizes employees who excel in sales and service to dairy and beef
customers.
Among the 81 people throughout the country to earn this elite recognition
are: Craig Barton, Higley, Ariz.; Walter Bloom, Tuttle, Okla.; Parker
Friedrich, Stephenville, Texas; George Golightly, Hico, Texas; Kevin Hinds,
Newcomerstown, Ohio; Donald Lawson, Winnsboro, Texas; Mark Long, Celina,
Ohio; Chuck Orr, Jackson Center, Pa; Jim Ray, Salem, Ohio; Jack Romesberg,
Rockwood, Pa; Vernon St John, Laveen, Ariz.; and Dan Schaub, Botkins, Ohio.
"The President’s Club award is presented to Select Sires sales
representatives who have exceeded specific goals for sales growth in their
area during the past year," says Joel Mergler, vice president of training
and educational programs, Select Sires. "These award winners are
hardworking, dedicated A.I. professionals who use their knowledge, along
with the service and genetic programs of Select Sires, to enhance the
livelihoods of our producer members. The resulting growth is due to their
abilities to provide reproductive and genetic solutions for dairy and beef
producers."
Based in Plain City, Ohio, Select Sires Inc. is a federation of 10
farmer-owned and controlled cooperatives. It provides highly fertile semen
as well as excellence in service and programs to achieve its basic objective
of supplying livestock breeders with America’s best genetics at a reasonable
price.
