Leading A.I. Organization Names Dement to its Communications Team PLAIN CITY, Ohio, Jan. 11, 2002 — Select Sires Inc. has announced the hiring of Beth Dement as its associate manager, corporate communications. In this role she will design advertisements and brochures; prepare the high-components breeds sire directory each quarter; develop Selections, Select’s customer newsletter; and manage the communications intern program. Most recently, Dement was employed by the American Jersey Cattle Association, Reynoldsburg, Ohio, where she was associate editor of the Jersey Journal, the monthly publication of the AJCA. In this position she was responsible for writing editorial copy and drafting advertisements, and assisted with overall production of the magazine. She holds a bachelor’s degree in animal science from Berry College, Mt. Berry, Ga. During her time at Berry, Dement worked extensively with the college’s registered Jersey herd, serving as resident student supervisor her senior year. Select Sires is a federation of 10 farmer-owned and controlled cooperatives, serving the largest number of cooperative members in the United States.
