Holstein Young Sire from
Wisconsin to Enter A.I.

PLAIN CITY, Ohio, April 22, 2002 — 7HO7078 Hidden-Z-B ALI-RED-ET*TV, a Holstein young sire bred by Doug Zemke, Wausau, Wis., has been chosen to enter Select Sires’ Program for Genetic Advancement™ (PGA™) sire-sampling system. Based on his outstanding pedigree, ALI-RED is one of 300 Holstein bulls to enter the program in 2002. In addition to being sampled through PGA cooperator herds, this young sire has been identified as a SUPER SAMPLER™. With this designation, his semen is available to all Holstein breeders.

ALI-RED is sired by SFL SHANDY-ET. His dam is Sure-View Jon August-RED-ET. She is scored Very Good (86) and produced 2-0 365d 24,210M 3.9% 951F 3.2% 778P. ALI-RED’s grandam, Sure-View Jubilant Ava, is scored Very Good (87) with an Excellent mammary. This Gold Medal Dam (GMD) and Dam of Merit (DOM) produced a 2-year-old record in excess of 30,000 pounds of milk, 1,200 pounds of fat and 1,000 pounds of protein. Ava has three other daughters, maternal sisters to ALI-RED’s dam, that have records exceeding 35,000 pounds of milk with a top record more than 61,000 pounds of milk.
