PLAIN CITY, Ohio, Sept. 6, 2002 — 7HO7334 Canyon-Breeze HRL ARTIC-ET*TV, bred by Steven Gillins, Minersville, Utah, has been chosen to enter Select Sires’ Program for Genetic Advancement™ (PGA™) sire-sampling system. Based on his outstanding pedigree, ARTIC is one of 300 Holstein bulls to enter the program in 2002. In addition to being sampled through PGA cooperator herds, this young sire has been identified as a SUPER SAMPLER™. With this designation, his semen is available to all Holstein breeders.

ARTIC is a Lexvold Luke HERSHEL-ET son. His dam is Canyon-Breeze EM August-ET, Excellent (92-2E). This 7HO3948 MJR Blackstar EMORY-ET daughter produced 3-1 365d 33,340M 4.1% 1,360F 3.3% 1,103P from an Excellent mammary system. ARTIC’s grandam, Canyon-Breeze WST Amber-ET, Excellent (93), Gold Medal Dam (GMD), Dam of Merit (DOM), produced 4-1 365d 35,930M 3.6% 1,293F 3.1% 1,125P.
