PLAIN CITY, Ohio, March 28, 2003 — 7HO7574 Regancrest D S DAYTON-ET*TV bred by Regancrest Farm, Waukon, Iowa; 7HO7643 FAR-O-LA DJ Derry DUSTIN-ET*TV bred by Rick and Thomas Simon and Richard Demmer, Peosta, Iowa; and 7HO7660 Palmcrest Forbid BOWEN-ET*TV bred by Aaron Palmer, Waukon, Iowa, have been chosen to enter Select Sires’ Program for Genetic Advancement™ (PGA™) sire-sampling system. Based on their outstanding pedigrees, DAYTON, DUSTIN and BOWEN are three of 300 Holstein bulls to enter the program in 2003. In addition to being sampled through PGA cooperator herds, these young sires have been identified as SUPER SAMPLERs™. With this designation, their semen is available to all Holstein breeders.

DAYTON is sired by Donnandale SKYCHIEF-ET and his dam is Regancrest Encore Darel-ET. She is scored Excellent (90) with an excellent mammary system and produced 2-4 365d 36,660M 3.1% 1,153F 3.1% 1,152P. DAYTON’s grandam, Snow-N-Denises Dellia, scored Excellent (95-2E) is a Gold Medal Dam (GMD) and Dam of Merit (DOM) with an excellent mammary system, and has lifetime production of 2,558d 180,240M 3.9% 7,108F 3.2% 5,723P.

DUSTIN is sired by 7HO6131 Regancrest Emory DERRY-ET. His dam, Regancrest Debbie-Jo-ET, is Excellent (92) with an excellent mammary system and is a GMD and DOM. This 9HO1729 Brabant Star PATRON-ET daughter produced 5-4 354d 44,287M 4.2% 1,854F 3.0% 1,322P. DUSTIN’s grandam is Regancrest Leadman Dolly-ET, Excellent (90) and also is a GMD DOM. Dolly produced 3-2 365d 29,270M 4.1% 1,199F 3.1% 915P.

BOWEN is sired by 7HO5687 Sandy-Valley FORBIDDEN-ET. His dam, RGNCRST-RH Durham Bliss-ET is scored Very Good (89) with an Excellent mammary system as a 2-year-old. Bliss produced 2-2 274d 23,607M 3.7% 876F 3.2% 759P and was a junior All-American 2-year-old nominee. BOWEN’s grandam is Regancrest Juror Brina-ET, scored Excellent (92). Brina produced 4-4 365d 40,640M 3.6% 1,478F 2.8% 1,140P.
