PLAIN CITY, Ohio, March 28, 2003 — 7JE689 Shenandoah Greenlea GARCON-ET, bred by Shenandoah Jerseys and Richard M. Green, Boonsboro, Md., has been chosen to enter Select Sires’ Program for Genetic Advancement™ (PGA™) sire-sampling system. Based on his outstanding pedigree, GARCON is one of 35 Jersey bulls to enter the program in 2003. In addition to being sampled through PGA cooperator herds, this young sire has been identified as a SUPER SAMPLER™. With this designation, his semen is available to all Jersey breeders.

GARCON is sired by 7JE442 Rock Ella PARAMOUNT-ET and his dam is Shenandoah Barber Gem, Excellent (94). Gem, the Premier Performance cow of the 1999 All American Jersey Show, produced 2-11 305d 20,160M 5.3% 1,065F 3.9% 781P. His grandam, Shenandoah Berretta Glad, Excellent (91), produced 4-2 305d 24,270M 4.8% 1,172F 4.0% 963P. His fourth dam, Shenandoah Duncan Gidget, is scored Excellent (93).
