PLAIN CITY, Ohio, March 28, 2003 — 7BS774 Sun-Made LIGHTNING ET, bred by Sunshine Genetics Inc., Whitewater, Wis., has been chosen to enter Select Sires’ Program for Genetic Advancement™ (PGA™) sire-sampling system. Based on his outstanding pedigree, LIGHTNING is one of seven Brown Swiss bulls to enter the program in 2003. In addition to being sampled through PGA cooperator herds, this young sire has been identified as a SUPER SAMPLER™. With this designation, his semen is available to all Brown Swiss breeders.

LIGHTNING is sired by Hilltop Acres PR DOMINATE ET and his dam is Sun-Made DNMRK Lemondrop-ET, Excellent (90). Lemondrop produced 2-03 293d 24,212M 3.9% 953F 3.4% 817P INC. In 2000, she was an All-American winter heifer calf nominee. LIGHTNING’s grandam is Harder Prelude Lucy, Excellent (90). Lucy produced 3-0 365d 32,170M 4.1% 1,307F 3.5% 1,138P. LIGHTNING’s third dam was Excellent (91-2E) and produced more than 24,000 pounds of milk.
