Keeney, Casey, Ill., has been chosen to enter Select Sires' Program for Genetic Advancement™ (PGA™) sire-sampling system. Based on his outstanding pedigree, SURGE-RED is one of 300 Holstein bulls to enter the program in 2003. In addition to being sampled through PGA cooperator herds, this young sire has been identified as a SUPER SAMPLER™. With this designation, his semen is available to all Holstein breeders.

SURGE-RED is sired by 7HO5785 Sure-View Adon ADAM-RED-ET. His dam, Golden-Oaks M Savanna-ET, is scored Excellent (90-EX-MS), and produced 2-1 365d 34,260M 3.4% 1,149F 3.0% 1,014P. SURGE-RED's grandam is S-F-L Enhancer Scarlette-Red. Scarlette is scored Very Good (89) and is a Gold Medal Dam and Dam of Merit.
