PLAIN CITY, Ohio, Sept. 10, 2003 — 7HO7744 Palmcrest Blitz BLADE-ET*TV bred by Aaron Palmer, Waukon, Iowa, and 7HO7780 Mr Regancrest Roy RACER*TV bred by Regancrest Farm and Uwe Riebensahm, Waukon, Iowa., have been chosen to enter Select Sires’ Program for Genetic Advancement™ (PGA™) sire-sampling system. Based on their outstanding pedigrees, BLADE and RACER are two of 300 Holstein bulls to enter the program in 2003. In addition to being sampled through PGA cooperator herds, these young sires have been identified as SUPER SAMPLERs™. With this designation, their semen is available to all Holstein breeders.

Sired by 7HO5708 Fustead Emory BLITZ-ET, BLADE’s dam, Rgncrst-RH Durham Bliss-ET, is Very Good (89) and Excellent in the mammary system. She produced 2-2 365d 31,277M 3.7% 1,155F 3.1% 958P. BLADE’s grandam, Regancrest Juror Brina-ET, is scored Excellent (92), and produced 4-4 365d 40,640M 3.6% 1,478F 2.8% 1,140P.

A Roylane JORDAN-ET son, RACER’s dam is a Very Good (88) 7HO5157 Regancrest Elton DURHAM-ET daughter, who recently was named intermediate champion of the Iowa state show. She produced 2-4 365d 28,233M 4.1% 1,162F 3.1% 908P. Racer’s grandam is Sher-Est Emory Swanny, Excellent (2E-90), and produced 2-2 365d 27,720M 4.1% 1,150F 3.1% 871P.
