PLAIN CITY, Ohio, Sept. 10, 2003 — 7HO7690 Ocean-View Derry ZANDER*TV, bred by Ocean View Farms, Windsor, Calif., has been chosen to enter Select Sires’ Program for Genetic Advancement™ (PGA™) sire-sampling system. Based on his outstanding pedigree, ZANDER is one of 300 Holstein bulls to enter the program in 2003. In addition to being sampled through PGA cooperator herds, this young sire has been identified as a SUPER SAMPLER™. With this designation, his semen is available to all Holstein breeders.

A 7HO6131 Regancrest Emory DERRY-ET son, ZANDER’s dam is Ocean-View Durham Zandra-ET. She scored Very Good (88-VG-MS) and produced 2-4 317d 28,280M 3.6% 1,014F 3.2% 898P. Durham Zandra, the reserve intermediate champion at the 2003 California State Show and champion of the 2003 California Holstein Futurity, is a full sister to 7HO6782 Ocean-View ZENITH-TW-ET*TV and a maternal sister to 7HO7295 Ocean-View Eland ZEBRA-ET*TV. ZANDER’s grandam is the Excellent (95-2E-EX-MS) Ocean-View Mandel Zandra. She produced 5-7 365d 36,110M 4.4% 1,571F 3.3% 1,181P and in 1998 was part of the Reserve All-American best three female group. ZANDER’s dam and grandam have been named the All-California dam and daughter in 2002 and 2003.
