PLAIN CITY, Ohio, Oct. 17, 2003 — 7HO7751 Sewards-Folly DEFENSE-ET*TV, bred by Scott Seward, Pine River, Wis., has been chosen to enter Select Sires’ Program for Genetic Advancement™ (PGA™) sire-sampling system. Based on his outstanding pedigree, DEFENSE is one of 300 Holstein bulls to enter the program in 2003. In addition to being sampled through PGA cooperator herds, this young sire has been identified as a SUPER SAMPLER™. With this designation, his semen is available to all Holstein breeders.

DEFENSE is sired by 7HO5710 Pagen-Ernwood DANE-ET. His dam, Gateway-Acres Daphne-ET is scored Excellent (90). She produced 2-11 3X 365d 46,040M 3.7% 1,721F 2.7% 1,235P. This record enabled Daphne to be third in Wisconsin for milk. Way-Cin Royal Dunn, DEFENSE’s grandam, is scored Excellent (90), produced 4-7 365d 29,070M 4.1% 1182F 2.9% 834P, and is a Dam of Merit.
