PLAIN CITY, Ohio, Dec. 9, 2003 — 7JE735 Sunset Canyon MOGENS-ET, bred by Eric Leonard Silva, Beaver, Ore., has been chosen to enter Select Sires’ Program for Genetic Advancement™ (PGA™) sire-sampling system. Based on his outstanding pedigree, MOGENS is one of 35 Jersey bulls to enter the program in 2003. In addition to being sampled through PGA cooperator herds, this young sire has been identified as a SUPER SAMPLER™. With this designation, his semen is available to all Jersey breeders.

MOGENS is sired by the Danish bull ISDK Oda HEINO. Sunset Canyon Lemvig Maid-ET, MOGENS’ dam, is scored Very Good (85) and produced 2-0 305d 18,450M 6.2% 1,145F 3.9% 711P. MOGENS’s grandam is Tenn Haug E Maid and is scored Excellent (93). She made an outstanding record of 6-0 365d 26,014M 7.0% 1,820F 4.3% 1,107P and has four other records greater than 6.3 percent fat, with a high record of 7.3 percent fat. Tenn Index GHD Maid, the third dam, also made a record high in components at 4-11 305d 16,240M 7.0% 1,136F 4.5% 735P.
