PLAIN CITY, Ohio, Dec. 10, 2003 — 7GU399 Flambeau Manor Option LUCAS-ET bred by Gary Van Doorn, Tony, Wis. and acquired from Dairybelt Guernsey Sires, Reynoldsburg, Ohio, has been chosen to enter Select Sires’ Program for Genetic Advancement™ (PGA™) sire-sampling system. This young sire also has been identified as a SUPER SAMPLER™. With this designation, his semen is available to all Guernsey breeders.

LUCAS is sired by Jensgolden Bionic OPTION, and his dam is Flambeau Manor Hunter Larissa, Excellent (90). Larissa produced 5-9 365d 29,800M 4.0% 1,186F 3.5% 1037P. This was her second record producing over 29,000 milk pounds of milk and her fourth record more than 4.0 percent fat and 3.5 percent protein. His grandam is Flambeau Manor Jay Lola, Very Good (87), who produced 4-6 323d 20,510M 4.5% 930F 4.0% 817P. Flambeau Manor Flash Lovely, his maternal sister, was recently scored Very Good (84) and is projected to produce 17,200 pounds of milk as a 2-year old.
