Holstein Sires From Pennsylvania to Enter A.I.

PLAIN CITY, Ohio, Feb. 10, 2005 — 7HO8464 Pen-Col CONDOR-ET*TV, bred by Pen-Col Farms, Millville, Pa., 7HO8269 Keystone PRIMETIME-ET*TV, bred by Keystone Farm, Easton, Pa., and 7HO8173 Peachey Champion TANNER-ET*TV, bred by Tyler Peachey, Petersburg, Pa., have been chosen to enter Select Sires' Program for Genetic Advancement™ (PGA™) sire-sampling system. Based on their outstanding pedigrees, CONDOR, PRIMETIME and TANNER are three of 300 Holstein bulls to enter the program in 2005. In addition to being sampled through PGA cooperator herds, these young sires have been identified as SUPER SAMPLERs™. With this designation, their semen is available to all Holstein breeders.

7HO6025 De-Matt Rudolph TEAMSTER-ET is the sire of CONDOR. His dam, Pen-Col Aaron Cindy-ET, is scored Very Good (88). She produced 2-6 365d 42,210M 3.4% 1,420F 3.1% 1,297P. Whittier-Farms Cinthya-ET is CONDOR's grandam. Cinthya is scored Very Good (87) and produced 2-9 365d 42,330M 3.5% 1,473F 2.8% 1,204P.

PRIMETIME is sired by Stouder MORTY-ET. His dam, Keystone Con Precious-ET, is scored Excellent (90) and is Excellent in her mammary system. She produced 2-3 365d 39,820M 4.2% 1,681F 3.0% 1,197P. This record placed her second in Pennsylvania for fat production. PRIMETIME's grandam is Keystone BW Pocahontas-ET. She is scored Very Good (87) and is a Gold Medal Dam as well as a Dam of Merit. Her best record stands at 4-4 365d 44,510M 4.9% 2,196F 3.1% 1,399P. This was the second best record for fat production in Pennsylvania that year.

The sire of TANNER is Calbrett-I H H CHAMPION-ET. His dam, New-Vision Storm Tobiana-ET is scored Excellent (94-2E-DOM) and is Excellent in her mammary system. Tobiana produced 4-7 365d 32,630M 4.4% 1,434F 3.0% 985P and she produced over 100,000 pounds of milk and 4,000 pound of fat in her lifetime. Ernest-Anthony SD Tobi-ET is TANNER's grandam. She is scored Excellent (96-2E-DOM) and is scored Excellent in all five linear categories.
