JACE Son by World-Record Dam Enters A.I.

PLAIN CITY, Ohio, June 22, 2005 — 7JE785 Mainstream Jace JUNIOR-ET, bred by Melissa Kortus, Lynden, Wash., has been chosen to enter Select Sires' Program for Genetic Advancement™ (PGA™) sire-sampling system. In addition to being sampled through PGA cooperator herds, this young sire has been identified as a SUPER SAMPLER™. JUNIOR semen is available to all Jersey breeders.

JUNIOR, a son of the ever-popular 7JE535 Windy Willow Montana JACE, is out of the world-record production holder, Mainstream Berretta Joy, Very Good (88). Joy, sired by the legendary 7JE254 Mason Boomer Sooner BERRETTA, was the first Jersey in history to complete back-to-back lactations of more than 40,000 pounds of milk. When she completed the second of these lactations, 4-9 365d 44,930M 5.0% 2,267F 3.4% 1,516P, she became the world champion Jersey for milk production. Joy completed this easily, after a first lactation of 31,870 pounds of milk and 4.6 percent fat at just 1-11. The next dam is Lagerweys 285 Silky, Excellent (90), with four records over 30,000 pounds of milk and 1,200 pounds of fat.
