PLAIN CITY, Ohio, June 22, 2005 — 7HO8326 Ja-Bob HEYWOOD-RED-ET, bred by Mark Yeazel, Eaton, Ohio, has been chosen to enter Select Sires' Program for Genetic Advancement™ (PGA™) sire-sampling system. Based on his outstanding pedigree, HEYWOOD is one of 300 Holstein bulls to enter the program in 2005. In addition to being sampled through PGA cooperator herds, this young sire has been identified as a SUPER SAMPLER™. With this designation, his semen is available to all Holstein breeders.

HEYWOOD-RED is a rare Weav-Lina COLBY-RED-ET son from Ja-Bob Princess Hyla-Red-ET (VG-87). Hyla is a Sikkema-Star-W PRINCETON-ET daughter with 2-4 3x 365d 29,880M 3.8% 1,144F 3.3% 978P, and is a maternal sister to 6HO817 Ja Bob JORDAN-RED. HEYWOOD-RED's grandam is Ohiana Mom Handmaid-Red-ET. She is scored Excellent (91-EX-MS-DOM) and is the start of a long line of Excellent-scored, high-component dams from the popular Helen family.
