Early BEST Son Enters SUPER SAMPLER Program at Select Sires

PLAIN CITY, Ohio, June 22, 2005 — 7HO8411 Mr EVEREADY-ET*TV, bred by Rottinghaus, Woods and Kestell, Stillwell, Kan., has been chosen to enter Select Sires' Program for Genetic Advancement™ (PGA™) sire-sampling system. Based on his outstanding pedigree, EVEREADY is one of 300 Holstein bulls to enter the program in 2005. In addition to being sampled through PGA cooperator herds, this young sire has been identified as a SUPER SAMPLER™. With this designation, EVEREADY semen is available to all Holstein breeders.

EVEREADY is one of the very first 7HO6349 Hidden-View BEST sons to be sampled in A.I. His Dixie-Lee AARON-ET dam is Ever-Green-View Elsa-ET, Very Good (89), who produced 2-6 3x 365d 46,880M 4.4% 2,067F 3.3% 1,539P. With this record, Elsa ranks second in the nation for fat and third for protein. Elsa's full brother, 7HO6959 Ever-Green View ELCON-ET*TV, recently graduated into Select Sires's lineup. He's a calving ease specialist and was named a HerdLife Builder™. Their dam is one of 7HO2236 Emprise Bell ELTON's greatest daughters, Ever-Green-View Elsie-ET. She is Excellent (92-2E-EX-MS-GMD-DOM) with over 50,000 pounds of milk. EVEREADY's next two dams are also Excellent, both with more than 48,000 pounds of milk from Excellent udders.
