DURHAM Dairy Expo



PLAIN CITY, Ohio, Oct. 11, 2005 — For the third year in a row, the most prestigious award given to a bull, the Ted Krueger Premier Sire award, was won by 7HO5157 Regancrest Elton DURHAM-ET*CV at the 2005 World Dairy Expo International Holstein Show, Madison, Wis. With four class winners and 23 top-10 finishes, DURHAM daughters represented nearly 25 percent of the milking animals at World Dairy Expo.

MD-Delight Durham Atlee-ET (VG-89), owned by Allyn, Lloyd and Heath, Canaan, Conn., was named reserve intermediate champion after winning the senior 3-year-old class. The winning junior 3-year-old, Mahoney Durham Katlyn (VG-89), was named honorable mention intermediate champion and is owned by Rottinghaus Holsteins, Seneca, Kan.

DURHAM daughters dominated the 4-year-old class with eight of the top 12. Scientific Debutante Rae-ET (EX-92) finished on top and was later named reserve grand champion of the entire show. In addition, she was named first best udder and the genetic award winner. She is owned by Scientific Holsteins, Chippewa Falls, Wis. Rae’s son by Persuit SEPTEMBER STORM-ET, 7HO8738 Scientific SS DEUCE-ET*RC, TV, will be available soon.

Second in the 4-year-old class, MD-Maple-Lawn D Miranda-ET (EX-93), was grand champion at the All-American Dairy Show, Harrisburg, Pa., just two weeks earlier. Miranda is owned by Ken-Wen Farm and David Alexander, Lynn, Ind. Third in the class was Sure-Can-Do Durham Vanity owned by Arethusa Farm, Litchfield, Conn. Sunny-Valley Durham Electra was fourth and is owned by the Iager Family and Eric Dupasquier, Fulton, Md.

Finally in the Kingsmill Farm International Futurity class, Sabofarm Durham Pamela (EX-92) topped the class and was named best udder. She is owned by Niles and Elmo Wendorf, Ixonia, Wis.
