Jersey Showcase Selections’ Dams on Top

PLAIN CITY, Ohio, Oct. 13, 2005 — Showcase Selections’™ sires are selected based on elite pedigrees and show-winning results. Based on this criteria, 7JE776 ELLIOTTS Golden Velocity-ET and 7JE816 WF Centurn Seize The MOMENT-ET have been selected for this elite program and are available to all Jersey breeders.

Grand champion of World Dairy Expo for the second year in a row, Huronia Centurion Veronica 20J (EX-94) also was named first place 5-year-old. Just two weeks earlier, Veronica was awarded the coveted supreme champion female of all breeds at the All-American Dairy Show, Harrisburg, Pa. She is the dam of the popular Showcase Selection’s sire ELLIOTT, who is sired by the Jersey breed’s No. 1 Type sire 7JE510 GOLDEN Boy of Ferreira.

Second behind Veronica in the 5-year-old class at World Dairy Expo was Hermitage Counciller Sheba (EX-94). Her 7JE329 Sooner CENTURION son, MOMENT, was recently released as a Showcase Selections’ sire. Sheba is no stranger to the ring. In 2003, she was grand champion and later was named supreme champion female of all breeds at the All-American Dairy Show.
