Select Sires’ Guernsey Bulls Take the Show



PLAIN CITY, Ohio, Oct. 13, 2005 — 7GU360 Trotacre Loral TILLER took World Dairy Expo by storm. He was awarded the most prestigious award given to a bull, the Ted Krueger Premier Sire award. During junior champion, seven of the 14 heifers paraded in the ring were TILLER daughters including three first place heifers. Other popular Select sires were also represented in some very strong classes.

Four Winds Tiller Destiny, the second place summer yearling, was named reserve junior champion and is owned by Four Winds Farm, Hartland, Wis. Named honorable mention junior champion and first place fall calf, Lang Haven Tiller Nirvana-ET is owned by Faria Farms, Escalon, Calif.

The winning winter calf was Windy Springs Tyler Red. This 9GU148 Trotacre Enhancer TYLER daughter is owned by Clayton Frey, Smithburg, Md.

In the milking classes, the first and second place junior 2-year-olds were sired by TILLER. In first, Coulee Crest Tiller Serena later went on to be named honorable mention intermediate champion. Her young son by 7GU379 My Day Bliss BANGER was purchased by Select Sires at the International Guernsey Classic held at World Dairy Expo. Serena is owned by Ayars and Manion, Mechanicsburg, Ohio. Millborne Tiller Hannah placed second in the junior 2-year-old class and is owned by P. Morey Miller, Granby, Conn.

In the junior show, the junior champion was a daughter of Program for Genetic Advancement™ (PGA™) young sire 7GU393 Coulee Crest Poker STARDUST. Sniders Stardust Delta was the first place senior yearling in the junior show and is owned by Kendy Beth Gable, New Enterprise, Pa. Another TILLER daughter was granted reserve junior champion of the junior show. Owned by Ashlee Dietz, Southington, Ohio, R-Way Tiller Liz was first place open and junior show spring yearling.
