PLAIN CITY, Ohio, Oct. 13, 2005 — At World Dairy Expo (WDE), Madison, Wis., Grand champion Brown Swiss cow was Old Mill E Snickerdoodle, owned by Allen Bassler Jr., Upperville, Va. Her young son, 7BS796 Old Mill WDE SUPREME ET will be released soon. He is a son of Bridgeview PRIMETIME. This was the fourth year that Snickerdoodle was named grand champion. Just two weeks earlier, Snickerdoodle was named grand champion Brown Swiss of the junior show at the All-American Dairy Show, Harrisburg, Pa. In 2003, she was named supreme champion female of all breeds at WDE.

In the Kingsmill II International Brown Swiss Futurity, first place belonged to a Select Sires’ young sire daughter. Lah-Dale Burl Party, sired by Program for Genetic AdvancementÔ (PGA™) young sire 7BS759 Front Line Chime BURL ET, is owned by Brown Velvet Swiss, London, Ohio.
