Select Sires Raises Money
for Hurricane Katrina Victims

PLAIN CITY, Ohio, Oct. 25, 2005 — Select Sires and its Board of Directors are pleased to announce that, as a federation, over $66,000 has been donated towards Hurricane Katrina disaster relief. $50,000 will be used to directly assist dairy and beef producers in the affected area. The remaining money will go towards the Red Cross and the Salvation Army efforts.

"It’s absolutely devastating what farm families are enduring in Louisiana and Mississippi," says David Thorbahn, general manager, Select Sires Inc. "Select Sires, its member cooperatives and staff hope to help start the repair and rebuilding process from this tremendous disaster."
