Select’s newest Excellent classifications feature 11 new 7HO5375 Mara-Thon BW MARSHALL-ET*TV sons, five 7HO5157 Regancrest Elton DURHAM-ET*CV sons and Select Sires’ first Excellent son of 7HO5708 Fustead Emory BLITZ-ET*TV.

Calving ease superstar (3%CE, 99% Rel.) O MAN was awarded two points for a new score of Excellent (94). Ranked second on Holstein’s Top-100 TPI™ list at +1947, O MAN is the breed’s best for Net Merit Dollars at +$712, 95% Rel.

BEST also gained a point to score Excellent (94). He has 137 daughters in 91 herds known for their high-component milk (+.07% Protein, +.12% Fat, 92% Rel.) and correct type (+1.77 PTAT, 87% Rel.). He has been designated a Herdlife Builder™ siring daughters with excellent strength, feet and legs (+1.90 FL) and udders (+1.33 UD).

Select Sires is also particularly proud to offer Excellent bulls that top the breed for health traits including 9HO2575 Peckenstein Form BRET-ET*CV (EX-93), who sires long-lasting daughters (+3.6PL, 71% Rel.); and calving ease specialist 7HO6838 Barbi-Lyn M MATCHES-ET*TV (7%CE, 68% Rel.), who scored Excellent-90 on his first classification.

Also Excellent are the popular type-leader 7HO6753 CANYON-Breeze Storm Atom-ET*TV (EX-92) from an Excellent (94) Emory dam; and 7HO6302 Bo-Irish RJ Lead READY-ET*TV (EX-92), one of the breed’s elite component sires.

Other newly scored Excellents at Select Sires include 7HO6695 Latuch Convincer Farley-ET*TV (EX-90), the top PTA Fat bull in the breed (+94, 88% Rel.), and 7HO7066 Probstland Aaron ELMORE-ET*TV (EX-90), the No. 1 Feet and Leg Composite sire in the breed (+3.20, 84% Rel.). DURHAM son 7HO7081 Jeffrey-Way TRYOUT*CV, a Top-10 type sire (+2.51PTAT, 79% Rel.), scored Excellent (90).

Gaining popularity with elite breeders of red cattle, Super Sampler™ 7HO7872 KHW Kite ADVENT-RED-ET*TV was raised to Excellent (92). The son of a sixth-generation Excellent DURHAM dam, ADVENT offspring are the talk of the tanbark and in high demand.

Another red bull with an All-American heritage and proven results, 7HO8592 Mr Rosedale-L TRIBUTE-ET*TV was designated an impressive Very Good (86) on first classification at 1 year, 10 months of age. TRIBUTE’s dam, Lavender Ruby Redrose-Red (EX-93) was the 2005 World Dairy Expo Supreme Champion.
