PLAIN CITY, Ohio, Nov. 8, 2005 — 7HO8602 Toppglen PRIDEs Best, bred by Tanner and Bruce Topp, Wooster, Ohio, has been chosen to enter Select Sires’ Program for Genetic Advancement™ (PGA™) sire-sampling system. Based on his outstanding pedigree, PRIDE is one of 300 Holstein bulls to enter the program in 2005. In addition to being sampled through PGA cooperator herds, this young sire has been identified as a SUPER SAMPLER™. With this designation, his semen is available to all Holstein breeders.

PRIDE is a 7HO6349 Hidden-View BEST son from Toppglen Marshall Pride, (VG-87-VG-MS). She is a 7HO5375 Mara-Thon BW MARSHALL-ET daughter with high components, which can be found throughout her pedigree. She produced 1-10 365d 30,340M 3.9% 1,185F 3.0% 920P. His grandam is a Very Good, high testing Dixie-Lee AARON-ET daughter with 4.3% fat. PRIDE’s third dam was a reproductive and productive machine. At 2-6 she produced over 34,000 pounds of milk. Calving back at 3-8 she produced 33,280 pounds of milk and calved again at 5-6 with a record of 33,940M 4.2% 1,428F 3.1% 1,074P. PRIDE’s fourth, fifth and sixth dams are Very Good (85), (86) and (85) with 34,810M, 31,550M and 21,470 pounds of milk respectively. Continuing the line, his seventh dam was Very Good (88) with almost 200,000 pounds of milk lifetime and his eighth dam was Very Good (89) with nearly 210,000 lifetime.
