PLAIN CITY, Ohio, Nov. 8, 2005 — 7HO8494 Paradise-R FRANCHISE*TV, bred by Paradise Valley Farms, Louisville, Ohio, has been chosen to enter Select Sires’ Program for Genetic Advancement™ (PGA™) sire-sampling system. Based on his outstanding pedigree, FRANCHISE is one of 300 Holstein bulls to enter the program in 2005. In addition to being sampled through PGA cooperator herds, this young sire has been identified as a SUPER SAMPLER™. With this designation, FRANCHISE semen is available to all Holstein breeders.

FRANCHISE sired by 7HO6417 O-Bee MANfred Justice-ET son with a tremendous 7HO5375 Mara-Thon BW MARHSALL-ET dam from 7HO3707 Paradise-R Cleitus MATHIE’s maternal family. FRANCHISE’s Very Good (86) dam completed a family tradition with over 30,000 pounds of milk in 305 days as a 2-year-old. FRANCHISE’s grandam, also Very Good (86), produced 37,000 pounds of milk in her first lactation. The third dam is a Very Good (87) 7HO2236 Emprise Bell ELTON with 33,540 pounds of milk and the fourth dam is an Excellent 7HO1897 To-Mar BLACKSTAR-ET with 37,000 pounds of milk. The fifth dam is the matriarch and MATHIE’s dam — Bell Sears — who is Excellent (90) with 35,000 pounds of milk.
