PLAIN CITY, Ohio, Nov. 8, 2005 — 7HO8498 Ri-Val-Re 2278 SIMON-ET*TV bred by Aaron Jorgensen, Webberville, Mich., has been chosen to enter Select Sires’ Program for Genetic Advancement™ (PGA™) sire-sampling system. Based on his outstanding pedigree, SIMON is one of 300 Holstein bulls to enter the program in 2005. In addition to being sampled through PGA cooperator herds, this young sire has been identified as a SUPER SAMPLER™. With this designation, his semen is available to all Holstein breeders.

SIMON is an Opsal FINLEY-ET son from Spring-Dream Durham Jill-ET, (VG- 89-EX-MS). She is a 7HO5157 Regancrest Elton DURHAM-ET daughter, and has a strong production record at 2-9 365d 32,230M 3.9% 1,242F 3.5% 1,114P. SIMON’s second dam is Spring-Dream SR Jenna-ET who is scored Excellent (92-2E-EX-MS), and has three records over 4.0 percent fat. Jenna also was the first place fall yearling in milk at World Dairy Expo in 1999.
