PLAIN CITY, Ohio, Feb. 21, 2006 — Select Sires Inc. has joined forces with Genes Diffusion/France to offer dairy producers exclusive access to semen from breed-leading TPI™ sire 182HO135 ROTHENEUF. The sire was released into Select’s active lineup following the USDA’s quarterly release of genetic evaluations Feb. 13 and has semen available across the United States.

ROTHENEUF debuted on the domestic lineup with leading statistics to improve any dairy herd. This elite and unique pedigreed sire from an Excellent (90) dam has a high +1,819 Milk and +75 Fat to make him a major-league production sire (77% Rel.). He also has an impressive +1.74 PTAT (66% Rel.-M) and +1792 TPI, ranking him among the world’s best bulls for total performance.

This well-sampled sire has 92 daughters in 80 herds for production data and 71 classified daughters for type in France and the Czech Republic. ROTHENEUF’s daughters excel in all frame traits (+2.21 Stature, +1.83 Strength) and have superior udders (+1.62 UDC) that are high and wide in the rear with strong ligaments.
