Purdue Student Named Intern
at Leading A.I. Organization




PLAIN CITY, Ohio, June 15, 2006 — Payton Farrer, Royal Center, Ind., has been selected as the summer beef-marketing intern for Select Sires Inc.

In this role Farrer will assist with the preparation for advertisements and brochures, help photograph bulls and bull progenies and perform other beef-marketing projects. He will be based at the company’s headquarters in Plain City, Ohio.

Farrer is a senior at Purdue University, West Lafayette, Ind., where he is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in agricultural systems management. He is an active member of the Intercollegiate Livestock Judging Team and Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity. Farrer also participated in intercollegiate football and the Big Brother and Big Sister mentor program while at Butler University.

He has gained a wealth of experience in production agriculture while working on Farrer Stock Farms, where he has operated machinery, artificially inseminated cows, medicated cattle and hogs and planted corn and soybeans. He also recently attended Select Sires A.I. School and has shown cattle through 4-H for 10 years.
