Still Red-Hot after World Dairy Expo

PLAIN CITY, Ohio, Oct. 17, 2006 — 7HO7872 KHW Kite ADVENT-RED-ET continued to create buzz and live up to his hype at the 2006 World Dairy Expo, Madison, Wis. With a record-setting sale and 25 top-10 finishes at the Grand International Red and White Show, ADVENT-RED was all the talk at Madison.

At this year’s World Classic Holstein Sale, a record-setting $135,000 was paid for the one-month-old Rosedale Advantageous-Red-ET. Sired by ADVENT-RED, she is the daughter of the 2005 Supreme Champion, Lavender Ruby Redrose-Red (EX-95). Consigned by Mark Reuth and Nicky Reape, Oxford, Wis., Advantageous-Red was purchased by Sterndale and Riverdane Holsteins, Boxton, Derbyshire, England.

ADVENT-RED’s daughters also performed well in the show ring at the 2006 Grand International Red and White Show. Windsor-Manor Riki-Red-ET, exhibited by Samantha Garst, New Windsor, Md., topped the spring heifer calf class. The winter heifer class was won by Fier View A Siera-Red-ET, owned by Joe Fier, Taunton, Minn. Placing second in the summer yearling heifer class was Sunny-Valley A Frito-Red-ET, owned by Ron and Wayne Dubuhr, Belmont, Wis. Exhibited by Jesse Byma, Ilion, N.Y., Hilrose Advent Autumn-Red finished second in the spring yearling heifer class. Placing second in the winter yearling heifer class was Windsor Manor Raisin-Red-ET, owned by Jason and Donna Myers, New Windsor, Md. Dynamic Advent Alexis-Red, owned by James, Lynette, Cheryl and Scott Miller, Pine Island, Minn., placed second in the fall yearling class. In addition, five ADVENT-RED daughters placed among the top-10 in the junior 2-year-old cow class.
