PLAIN CITY, Ohio, Feb. 27, 2008 — The Holstein Association USA Inc., Brattleboro, Vt., recently awarded the Gold Medal Sire designation to 7HO7173 Terrick Emerson ROLEX-ET, 7HO7650 Lang-England M JACKSON-ET, 7HO7683 Laclar Mtoto ANANDO, 7HO7858 Raucher Mars 999-GRAND-ET and 9HO2831 Kings-Ransom M DUCE-ET based on their outstanding merits. Each of these sires is currently available with gender SELECTed™ semen.
The Gold Medal Sire designation is given in recognition of superior type and production of their officially tested and classified offspring. To qualify, bulls must exceed a specified level for Total Performance Index™ (TPI™), have a minimum reliability of 90 percent for their Predicted Transmitting Ability (PTA) for Fat and for Type and they must be free of any recognized undesirable genetic defect.
As a Herdlife Builder™, look for ROLEX to transmit the type traits that correlate to improved longevity. Additionally, ROLEX works nicely in heifer A.I. programs at 6% Calving Ease.
