Mergler Named Vice President

Select Sires Inc. has announced the appointment of Joel Mergler to the newly created position of vice president, training and herd-management products. In this role, Mergler will coordinate marketing activities for Select’s broad portfolio of herd-management products. He also will continue to manage Select’s sales training and development activities.

Most recently Mergler served as vice president, personnel training and development for Select Sires. During his years in this position he developed employee-training programs, and assisted Select’s member cooperatives and international marketing teams in their expansion of reproductive-management services at the local level. Before that he gained more than a decade of experience as an A.I. technician, area sales manager and A.I. training specialist with East Central/ Select Sires, Waupun, Wis.
