World-wide readers of Holstein International recently
selected the Holstein World Champion of the Year, voting
Select-sired cows as the top four champions. Vandyk-K
Integrity Paradise, Excellent (97), was the first-place
winner of the contest. Sired by 7HO4213 Robthom INTEGRITY-ET*TV,
this supreme champion of the 2000 and 2002 World Dairy Expo,
Madison, Wis., is owned by Mark Rueth, Wis. and Kent Vandyk,
Wash. Two other INTEGRITY daughters, Idee Lustre Excellent (95),
the supreme champion of the 2002 Royal Agricultural Winter Fair,
Canada, owned by Erhardt Farms, Baldwin, Md. and Wiesenfeld
Integreity Madame, Excellent (90), Martin Rubesam, Germany,
placed second and fourth, respectively. In third place was
Gaige Highlight Tamara, Excellent (95). Tamara, owned by Allison
Gaige, Schoharie, N.Y., was reserve grand champion at World
Dairy Expo. She is sired by Select veteran 7HO3257 HIGHLIGHT
Mr Mark Cinder-ET*CV.
