SELECTIONS - Fall 2004
DURHAM Named Premier Sire
The most prestigious award given to a bull, the Ted Krueger Premier Sire award, was won by 7HO5157 Regancrest Elton DURHAM-ET*CV at the 2004 World Dairy Expo International Holstein Show, Madison, Wis. DURHAM dominated the show with five class winners and 19 daughters placing in the top 10 of their classes – more than any other sire.

Sunny-Valley Durham Electra, Very Good (89), pictured below, was first named Intermediate Champion and then Reserve Grand Champion of the entire show. Electra is owned by Gene and Kathy Iager and Dupasquier Holsteins, Fulton, Md. DURHAM also sired three of the four cows pulled out for Intermediate Champion.

While a very limited supply of DURHAM semen remains, producers can trust Select Sires to supply them with DURHAM sons today and in the future.

Leading sons at Select include 7HO6758 Regancrest MR Drham SAM-ET*TV and 7HO6782 Ocean-View ZENITH-TW-ET*TV, both leaders for type at +2.98 and +2.46, respectively. Contact your representative today to take advantage of these and the other DURHAM sons available from Select Sires.
