Sale. She was purchased by Jeremy Phillips, Columbia, Ky.
Sale-Topping Guernseys
Select-sired Guernseys have garnered top prices at
April 2005 sales around the country. At the Kentucky
National, 7GU358 Lantz Farm Enhancer VILTER daughter,
GR-Knapps Vilter Surprise, was the top selling heifer
at $5,300 for the Randy Knapp family, Epworth, Iowa.
This December 2004 calf was purchased by Walnut Corner
Farm, Bismarck, Ill.
Topping the PA Blue Halter Sale at $10,000 was 7GU360 Trotacre
Loral TILLER daughter, Sniders Tiller Austin-ET, consigned by
Aaron Gable, New Enterprise, Pa. This fancy Altann grandaughter
sold to Marcus Sims, Clinton, S.C.
Production Jerseys in Washington
Mainstream Jerseys, Lynden, Wash., report that Mainstream
Choice Shasta, a Very Good (88) daughter of 7JE395 Dutch
Hollow Berretta CHOICE-P, recently produced 4-2 365d 42.820M
4.1% 1,733F 3.4% 1,456P. Shasta completes four generations
of over 30,000-pound milk records. Her dam, Mainstream Barber
Shannon, an Excellent (92) daughter of 7JE290 WF/L&M Duncan
BARBER-ET, recently completed her third lactation of more than
30,000 pounds of milk. The next dam is by 7JE252 Avon Road
TRADER-ET.

Select Genetics Top Canadian Charts
In February, for the first time ever, one sire has the distinction
of ranking as the No. 1 sire in Canada for LPI, milk yield and type
conformation following a single sire summary release. 7HO5708 Fustead
Emory BLITZ-ET*TV, Excellent (94) gained this notoriety in February
with an LPI index of +2412, a milk proof of +3361 EBV-kg (95% Rel.),
and a conformation value of +19 (94% Rel.), tying with Innwood TERRASON.
BLITZ received his first official Canadian proof in November 2004 when
he placed tenth on the prestigious list. He remains one of the best 10
type sires for Mammary System, Dairy Character and Stature.
Select genetics were also seen at the top of the Jersey charts, where
7JE442 Rock Ella PARAMOUNT-ET rose to the No. 1 LPI ranking at +1950.

At the Mercoleite 2005, Brazil, a 5-year-old daughter of
7JE290 BARBER was named reserve grand champion for owner
Sergio Batalha.
Sale-Topping LOUIE
Velvet-View-KJ Sunburst-ET, a Very Good (87) 7HO5592 Wil-Hart E
LOUIE-ET*TV daughter, topped the California Convention Sale, held
Jan. 29, 2005, when she brought a final bid of $26,000 from the
Sunburst Syndicate. She was consigned by Ron and Ken Wilson, Cal.
O MAN Tops Europe Sale
Southland Oman Sharon, a daughter of 7HO6417 O-Bee MANfred
Justice-ET*TV, topped the Eurogenes Sale IV when she was purchased
for €12,500 (approximately $15,700) by J. Van den Oord, Ferme de
Beauchamp, France. She was consigned by the 2004 Dutch Breeder of
the Year, Southland Holsteins.
