BLITZ Sells One Million Units of Semen!
Brian and Wendy Fust, breeders of BLITZ
Select Sires sold the one millionth unit of customer satisfaction sire 7HO5708 Fustead Emory BLITZ-ET in early September. At 10 years of age, BLITZ becomes the fourth sire in Select federation's history to achieve this milestone, preceeded by 7HO4213 Robthom INTEGRITY-ET, 7HO1236 Fisher-Place MANDIGO-Twin and 7HO3703 Paradise-R Cleitus MATHIE.
The breeders of BLITZ, Brian and Wendy Fust, Wausau, Wis., visited Select Sires on Sept. 13 to see their successful bull. "It's been very rewarding," Brian said of BLITZ’s popularity. "It’s fun talking to people about him and the whole experience has been very positive."

ADVENT-RED Named Reserve Junior Champion
TJ-Pollema Advnt Sheena-Red, daughter of 7HO7872 KHW Kite ADVENT-RED-ET, took first winter calf and reserve junior champion at the Minnesota Junior Holstein Show. She is owned by Brooke Pollema, Browerville, Minn.
LEGION Daughter Takes Top Prize at California State Fair

BW Legion Linda D620 (E-90%), daughter of 7JE696 BW LEGION, was first senior 3-year-old and grand champion at the California State Fair. She is owned by Brentwood Farms, Orland, Calif.
SUPER LUX Daughter Named Supreme Champion
Lavon Farms Lux Anne (VG-89-EX-90-MS)
Lavon Farms Lux Anne (VG-89-EX-90-MS), daughter of 7GU385 Pine Ridge SUPER LUX-ET, was named supreme chamion at Ozark Empire Fair. She is owned by Todd Moore and Gary Estes, Plano, Texas.
National Guernsey Show Success
7GU360 Trotacre Loral TILLER-ET continued his show ring success with Bay Meadow Darimiss (VG-87) named grand champion of the National Guernsey Show, Sacramento, Calif., after winning the senior 3-year-old class for Bay Meadow Farms, Galt, Calif. Earning junior champion honors as the first place senior yearling was Lang Haven Tiller Nirvana-ET, owned by Frank and Patti Faria, Escalon, Calif. Nirvana was the 2005 All-American senior calf and is a full sister to 7GU414 Lang Haven Tiller NASH-ET, the breed’s highest Parent Average young sire available in both conventional and gender SELECTed semen.
BANGER Daughter Takes Nyala-Bedford Trophy
7GU379 My Day Bliss BANGER-ET daughter, Coulee Crest Banger Krista (VG-84), received the Nyala-Bedford Trophy at the National Guernsey Convention for completing the breed's highest 305-day 2-year-old milk production record with 31,910M. Krista's completed record in 365 days of 38,350M 4.0% 1540F 3.2% 1241P 3x is a breed class leading record. This 2005 Milk Flow Queen also ranks No. 6 on the current CPI list for her owners, Don and Kurt Peterson, Cashton, Wis.

Indiana State Holstein Show Boasts Select Winners
Price-View Melissa (7HO7872 KHW Kite ADVENT-RED-ET), owned by Price-View Farm and Jaelah Price, Jonesboro, Ind., took reserve junior champion and first winter yearling.
Fineline-Vu Durham Lady, a 7HO5157 Regancrest Elton DURHAM*CV daughter, was named intermediate champion and first senior 3-year-old. She is owned by Price-View Farm, Jonesboro, Ind.

Buttercrest Jacinto Florida, daughter of 7JE667 Mason Lemvig JACINTO-ET, recently scored Very Good (85%). She is owned by Tom Cooperrider, Croton, Ohio.
Tom Pearson Makes 500,000 Evaluation
Tom Pearson, dairy program specialist with East Central/Select Sires, reached a career milestone on June 29 by evaluating his 500,000th cow with Select Mating Service™ (SMS™). Pearson is the first person in East Central's history to reach this milestone. Pearson has been mating cows with the SMS program since September 1992 for dairy producers in southern Wisconsin.
