Industry Liaison

Select Sires, Inc. seeks an Industry Liaison. The Industry Liaison works with product owners and the IT department’s business partners/users to support enterprise software applications. The IL develops a thorough understanding of enterprise software applications and uses that understanding, in combination with his/her industry knowledge, to increase application adoption, to provide training and assistance to business partners in how best to use these applications, and to provide application support. The IL troubleshoots issues, diagnoses reported problems/bugs, and documents bugs and feature requests/enhancements. The IL has a customer service mindset and finds satisfaction in helping people and solving problems. Occasional travel may be required.

Candidates will:

  • Provide technical support for enterprise software applications.
  • Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, project managers, and other IT team members to document and resolve bugs and issues.
  • Gather and document requirements for bugs and enhancements.
  • Manage support tickets and follow up with users and IT team members to ensure that tickets are addressed and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Build training materials, job aids, and other necessary documentation.
  • Provide training to individual users or groups of users.
  • Work with project teams to ensure that support-related considerations and user feedback are incorporated into project plans.
  • Provide assistance for software testing and document any bugs/issues found as a result of testing.
  • Assist with building and delivering reports to users.

Candidates must have:

  • Educational background in animal science, technology, or related field
  • Experience working with and/or supporting software applications
  • Experience working in agriculture or the dairy industry
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
