Steve Furrow Joins Select Sire Power as Beef and Product Promotion Manager
ROCKY MOUNT, Va., Oct. 27, 2010 -Steve Furrow has been named Beef and Product Promotion Manager for Select Sire Power Inc. In this role, Steve will have three main areas of responsibility: overall coordination of the beef sales and service program, A.I. training in the southern region, and coordination of the marketing for herd management products.
Furrow grew up in Franklin County, Va., and graduated from Emory and Henry College with a bachelor's of science degree in business administration. For the past seven years, he has worked as a district sales manager for another A.I. organization. He is president of Lazy Acres Angus, Inc., a 100-head registered Angus farm. Furrow has been actively involved in the Virginia cattle industry, has served as president of the Virginia Angus Association, and is currently on the Virginia Cattleman's Association board of directors.
He resides in Rocky Mount, Va., along with his wife Lettitia and 18-month-old son Ethan. His devotion to his family, his loyalty to work and to his customers makes him a natural fit with the Select Sire Power family. Furrow is excited about the opportunity to continue relationships he has developed over the past seven years and the opportunity to work with Select Sires' beef program, product sales and training along with their sales and service team.
