EMORY RAISED TO EX-97
Select Bull Classification Yields Excellence

"History was written today as 7HO3948 Emory became the last animal of the 20th century to be classified Excellent 97," commented Select Sires’ Sire Analyst, Charlie Will on December 30th. "Emory is a breed great whose most terrific impact will be felt yet in the 21st century through his proven sons and grandsons." He is only the sixth bull in history to be tapped 97. Emory’s second crop daughters have been garnering attention as they come into production and mature into fantastic females. He already has 18 daughters scored Excellent, all with Excellent mammary systems. "This bull is near perfection." adds Will. "The great ones make the great ones, and Emory is undeniably that."

Just prior to year end, the Holstein Association classification committee inspected the bulls that had been nominated for higher scores by the original classifier. In addition to Emory joining the breed’s elite at 97, 7HO4637 Winchester was raised to Excellent 95.

Earlier in December the original classifier inspected 200 bulls at Select Sires naming seven active lineup sires new Excellents. Those new to EX-94 include 7HO3257 HIGHLIGHT, 7HO3707 MATHIE, 7HO4955 JC and 7HO5191 ROAMER. Climbing to EX-93 were 7HO6250 EMERSON, 7HO4364 ROAD MARK, 7HO4457 SABER and 7HO5025 JADE while 7HO4956 CONTENDER, 7HO4156 PRESCOTT, 7HO5309 BLUE CUT *RC and 7HO5211 BLACKBART moved to EX-92.
