PLAIN CITY, Ohio, Nov. 8, 2000 - The 2001 Beef Sire Directory from Select Sires is now available for producers as they begin planning their herds' breeding programs for next spring. This 52-page, full-color directory features information about more than 100 sires representing 13 different breeds.

"This directory offers a wealth of information in an easy-to-use format to help beef producers make the best possible breeding decisions for their herds," says Brian House, beef specialist, Select Sires. "Not only does it contain details about individual sires, but it also includes background about synchronization programs for both heifers and cows that enable breeders to take greater advantage of the benefits A.I. offers."

The directory highlights Black Angus bulls like 7AN194 Rito 6I6, who is highly regarded for his ability to transmit low birth weights and high growth rates along with high marbling, as well as 7AN178 BAR Ext, who is becoming well-known for calving ease, extra muscle and attractive daughters. In addition, the directory has individual photographs and data for the Select sires representing these popular breeds: Red Angus, Simmental, Hereford, Charolais, Limousin, Gelbvieh, Brahman, Brangus, Beefmaster, Belgian Blue and GYR.
