Red SHANDY*RC Son to Enter A.I.


PLAIN CITY, Ohio, July 6, 2001 — 7HO6803 Hyndl LACHRO-RED, bred by H.E. Heindel and Sons, Brogue, Pa., has been chosen to enter Select Sires’ Program for Genetic Advancement (PGA) sire-sampling system. Based on his unique pedigree, LACHRO-RED is one of 315 Holstein bulls to enter the program in 2001. In addition to being sampled through PGA Cooperator herds, this young sire has been identified as a Super Sampler. With this designation, his semen is available to all Holstein breeders.

LACHRO-RED is a highly-demanded young sire in both domestic and international markets because he is one of the first available Red sons of SFL SHANDY-ET*RC, an Excellent (90) Mr Hurl-Three MOMEMTUM-RED-ET son. SHANDY*RC is best recognized for his ability to transmit high components and sound type with very correct udders. The dam of LACHRO-RED is a 9HO1306 Kinglea LEADER*TL*RC daughter with more than 40,000 pounds of milk. Rothrock Leader Leala-ET*RC produced 40,540 pounds of milk, 1,704 pounds of fat and 1,275 pounds of protein at 5 years, 5 months of age. The next dam is the highly-recognized bull mother, Walkup Valiant Lou Ella (EX-92) Gold Medal Dam, Dam of Merit with lifetime milk production credits in excess of 107,000 pounds of milk.
