Monet-Red Son from Wisconsin to Enter A.I.


PLAIN CITY, Ohio, July 6, 2001 — 7HO6725 Sellcrest MOE-RED-ET, bred by Gary Sell, Watertown, Wis., has been chosen to enter Select Sires’ Program for Genetic Advancement (PGA) sire-sampling system. Based on his outstanding pedigree, MOE-RED is one of 315 Holstein bulls to enter the program in 2001. In addition to being sampled through PGA Cooperator herds, this young sire has been identified as a Super Sampler. With this designation, his semen is available to all Holstein breeders.

MOE-RED is sired by SFL Fabulous MONET-RED-ET*TL, a proven Mr Hurl-Three MOMENTUM-RED-ET son, recognized for high milk production. MOE-RED’s dam is an Excellent (90) 7HO1897 To-Mar BLACKSTAR-ET*TL daughter with two records more than 34,000 pounds of milk. SFL Blackstar Sheena-ET*RC is a maternal sister to 7HO5412 Tri-Sec-SS SOVEREIGN-RED-ET, the top proven Red and White sire at Select Sires. The second dam is a Very Good (89) daughter of 7HO980 Walkway Chief MARK with a 2-year-old record of 35,380 pounds of milk, 1,599 pounds of fat and 1,234 pounds of protein.
