Polled Jersey from High Production Family Enters A.I.

PLAIN CITY, Ohio, July 6, 2001 — 7JE602 Greenridge ACCESS-P, bred by Jerry D. Rodeffer, Snohomish, Wash., has been chosen to enter Select Sires' Program for Genetic Advancement (PGA) sire-sampling system. Based on his outstanding pedigree, ACCESS-P is one of 33 Jersey bulls from throughout the United States to enter the program in 2001. In addition to being sampled through PGA Cooperator herds, this young sire has been identified as a Super Sampler. With this designation, his semen is available to all Jersey breeders who want to add polled genetics and high production to their herds.

A 7JE386 Barbs MBSB DELCO son, ACCESS-P is a maternal brother to world record Jersey cow, Greenridge Berretta Accent (EX-90). At 3 years, 11 months of age, Accent produced 41,610 pounds of milk, 1,943 pounds of fat and 1,501 pounds of protein. His dam, Greenridge Opportunity Agate-P is Very Good (89) and ACCESS-P’s grandam, Hobby Hollow Record Legend Aga is Excellent (91). With neither Greenridge FW Chief Althea-ET or Molly Brook Fascinator Flower in his pedigree, ACCESS offers a different pedigree to Jersey breeders.
